This article mentioned the next peak aurora watching to be between 2010 and 2012. That will be a good time to have a cabin on Miller hill or Ester Dome or in the Gold Stream Valley. The photo here is great and in the article photo also but last time it peaked most of the aurora I saw were gigantic and white. The most amazing aurora I ever saw was white. It had two beams of light, one straight one curved, that ripped the sky into halves. On the right danced five huge figures shaped like Hopi Gods. Leftward were three bigger still cotton balls of the heavens that seemed perfectly flat as though pinned between panes of glass. Their fibers wormed about and the folk around me were quiet.
