At the corner of Airport and Peger is a small stand of trees in the Pioneer Park parking lot. An owl had a nest for some years though I haven't seen her lately. I hear tell that a few have been seen recently at Peger and Phillips Field road. Also, as raptors are the first to mate, owls can be heard thus located in the surrounding hills in late January. Along Cripple Creek road may be good for viewing.
