I was glad to read no one got hurt. There are many amazing parts to this photo. First, of course, is how close the woman was to the funnel cloud. The cloud looks like a sea shell and what a fantastic green hue in the upper cone. The storm had not yet knocked out the power adding greatly to the photo. The term shutter speed does not apply here but the image took was right on the edge. The trees look fairly clear, the flag is beautiful in a blur. In fact if a person could blow up the flag part of the image so as to pull the flag pole, flag, and the darkness made by the tree behind it into a tall rectangular picture it would be righteous in its own right. The artificial light seems to rush to over take the coming darkness of the storm. Then there is the mystery light from behind the bard and silos. Wow.
